MY STORY

For most of my life I was an athlete and dancer who powered through grueling workouts, endless injuries, and long nights of intense practices and rehearsals never paying attention to the toll it was taking on my body and mind.  Even though I was incredibly active, I had no real connection with my body—I wasn’t listening to the signals it was sending, especially when it desperately needed rest.

Everything changed after a traumatic divorce in 2017. Suddenly, my body started sending messages I couldn’t ignore. Within weeks of filing my periods stopped, I began experiencing intense hot flashes and night sweats, autoimmune issues like asthma and psoriasis flared up, and I gained weight. My doctors told me my labs were "normal and within range" and I had nothing to be concerned about.

 

"It felt like my body was shutting down and

I had NO IDEA I was in perimenopause"

Fast forward: I’m now 5+ years past "the pause", living out my dreams, healthier and happier than I’ve ever been.

My survival story goes like this...

  • I hired a somatic therapist who helped me process the trauma, stress, and emotions stored in my body, preventing them from turning into physical illness.

  • I earned my master's degree in Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine, and discovered how to interpret the messages my body was sending.

  • With the guidance of my own Ayurvedic wellness coach I eliminated my digestive imbalance and autoimmune conditions which were the root causes for my intense symptoms during perimenopause. No more IBS, psoriasis or asthma attacks, HOORAY!

  • I started my own practice, sold my belongings and moved to Belize to embrace peace, reduce my stress and heal near the sea with a slower lifestyle surrounded by the fruits, herbs, and spices essential to Ayurveda that are abundant in the tropics.

 

Now my mission is to share this knowledge with as many women as possible through one-on-one coaching, online and in-person group events, and immersive, transformational wellness retreats to inspire others to listen to their bodies and take action.

Awareness is the first step to healing.

Once we KNOW better, we can DO better!
